How to Select the Right load moment indicator（Load Moment Limiter） for Truck-Mounted Cranes

When selecting a load moment indicator for truck-mounted cranes, the length sensor—an essential component of the limiter assembly—measures the boom length. It must be chosen based on the crane's maximum boom length to prevent undercapacity or overcapacity issues. The boom length is specified on the crane's load chart, which indicates the maximum allowable boom length. For load sensors in load moment limiters, hydraulic sensors are typically the default option. These sensors detect pressure within the hydraulic cylinder and calculate the actual load and moment using algorithms. Alternatively, we offer pulley-type load sensors mounted at the top of the boom.
